As a small, skill-intensive business, we offer a unique and attractive workplace environment. Salaries are benchmarked against the Malaysian marketplace and seek to offer a competitive package consisting of a robust base salary, as well as performance-based bonuses and private healthcare insurance. Our Employee Provident Fund (EPF) and Social Security Organization (SOCSO) contributions are in line with Malaysian labour law.
We maintain an employee handbook which is reviewed annually, and benchmarked against Malaysian labour law, as well as best practice. All employees are given a copy on joining the company, as well as a copy of any updates.
Diversity and worklife balance
We do not require employees to work overtime, except at peak seasons and in connection with events and travel. All advisory staff are able to work flexible hours to accommodate personal commitments and to avoid traffic peak hours. We value diversity and do not accept discrimination on any grounds. We always respect religious holidays and ensure that individual staff are able to observe these. We also offer flexibility of working hours around prayer times.
As of October 2024, Helikonia has seven permanent and one part-time employee. Six Helikonia employees are Malaysian citizens, while two employees are foreign nationals: one Singaporean and one Danish.
